CalcoWorks offers many tools free of charge. To support hosting, maintenance, and ongoing development, some free pages may display third-party advertisements, including ads served by Google AdSense (or similar partners), when advertising is enabled on the live production site.
Where ads may appear
Ads may show on marketing pages, tool pages, blog articles, and category hubs for users on free experiences. Layouts aim to keep the primary tool or article readable: ads should not replace the calculator, editor, or guide content.
Premium plans may reduce or remove ads where that benefit is explicitly advertised on Pricing. Staging or test hostnames (for example UAT) are not intended for public advertising.
How ad technology works
Ad partners may use cookies, pixels, or similar technologies to serve ads, measure views and clicks, prevent fraud, and—where allowed by law and your settings—personalize ads based on interests or prior activity. CalcoWorks does not control every partner cookie. Details about data use are in our Privacy Policy and in each partner’s own policies (for example Google’s advertising and privacy documentation).
Relationship to editorial content
Guides and tool explanations are written to help you complete a task. We do not rewrite articles solely to promote an advertiser. We do not disguise ads as “how-to” tutorials. If we ever publish sponsored material, it will be clearly labeled as such.
Your choices
- Adjust cookie settings in your browser.
- Opt out of personalized Google ads via Google Ads Settings.
- Use industry opt-outs at www.aboutads.info where available.
- Read How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
- Consider browser extensions or privacy modes that limit third-party cookies (they may also affect site features).
- Explore Premium options if we offer an ad-light plan.
What we do not do
- We do not ask you to click ads or generate artificial impressions.
- We do not sell your uploaded PDF, images, or calculator inputs to advertisers as a data product.
- We do not disguise ads as editorial “how-to” articles.
- We do not place ads on pages that exist only as empty shells without useful content.
Invalid traffic
Artificial clicks or impressions violate partner policies and these site rules. We cooperate with partners to investigate suspicious activity. Staff and friends should never “test” ads by clicking them repeatedly.
